Our history
Joe "Nuzzy" passed away in 2017, having battled diabetes since a very young age. His friends and family came together to determine how they could best celebrate his life, and help those also living with diabetes. The Joe "Nuzzy" Nozzolillo Memorial Foundation was officially incorporated as a 501 (C)(3) organization in 2019, growing every year since.
Our mission
Our mission is to raise and donate as much money as possible to diabetes research and for finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Thus far, we've donated $111,560 to the UMass Chan Diabetes Center of Excellence in Worcester, MA. Their team is recognized for their leading diabetes research and patient care operations.
